UNDERSTAND THE RESULT
Every season mixes three traits: a warm or cool undertone, light or deep coloring, and bright or soft contrast. A photo measures depth and contrast well. Warmth is the hardest part, because room light and camera white balance shift skin tones, so the quiz carries most of the warm–cool decision and the result names a second season when the call is close. The free scan runs in your browser; your photo is not uploaded.
Read the exact scoring methodEach season combines a temperature (warm or cool), a depth (light or deep) and a clarity (bright or soft). Its name comes from whichever trait stands out most. Open any season for the full palette, neutrals and outfit ideas.
YOUR QUESTIONS, EXPLAINED
Your result names the season whose traits stand out most in your photo and answers, plus a second season when the call is close. Check it in daylight by holding a color from each season's best list under your face: the right one makes your skin look even and clear. The full palette for every season is linked from your result.
Yes. The photo reading, the five questions, your season and its palette are free, with no account or email. The scan runs on your device and your photo is not uploaded.
It is an estimate. Lighting, camera white balance, makeup, tanning and hair dye all change how colors look in a photo. We correct the light using the whites of your eyes, give the quiz most of the warm–cool weight and show a confidence level. For the most reliable read, use daylight without makeup, then confirm with the at-home drape check below.
Look at three things in daylight: wrist veins that look green suggest warm and blue or purple suggest cool; gold or silver jewelry making your skin look clearer; and whether you tan easily or burn. Mixed answers usually mean a neutral lean, which is common in the soft and bright seasons.
Light, True and Bright Spring; Light, True and Soft Summer; Soft, True and Dark Autumn; and Deep, True and Bright Winter. Springs and Autumns lean warm, Summers and Winters lean cool. The first word names the trait that stands out most.
Yes, but answer the hair question with your natural color and remove heavy foundation or bronzer if you can. Makeup and dye change the measured colors, which lowers confidence.
Your underlying coloring is fairly stable, but a deep tan, graying hair or a big change in hair color can shift your contrast and move you toward a neighboring season. Re-check after a big change.
Use the best colors near your face, build basics in the neutrals and keep the use-with-care colors away from your face. Each season page has outfit ideas, metals and hair and makeup directions.
