AI HAIRSTYLE TRY-ON · FIRST ONE FREE
AI hairstyle try-on.
See the cut on your own photo first.
Upload one selfie, find the haircuts that suit your face shape, and see the one you like on your own photo before you book the salon.

In short
FaceRater measures your face shape from one selfie for free, ranks twelve women’s and men’s haircuts for it and explains why each one works. Then Mia, the AI stylist, puts the cut you choose on your own photo. Your first try-on is free when you sign in; after that each one costs 10 credits, and packs start at $4.99 for 50. No app and no subscription.
Start with the free hairstyle finder: it runs in your browser and doesn’t upload your photo. The try-on uses the photo you choose to send.
One face, three haircuts

A synthetic adult model, not a real customer. Each image keeps her face and changes only the hair.
How the try-on works
- 01
Scan one selfie, free
Face the camera in even light. The hairstyle finder measures your face length, cheek width and jaw in your browser and names your face shape.
- 02
See the cuts that suit you
Twelve short, medium and long cuts are ranked for your outline, each with the reason it works and the words to use at the salon.
- 03
Try one on your photo
Tap “Try on me” and Mia makes a realistic image of you with that cut. Compare it with your original, try another, or ask her what to change.
Why try it here
- Cuts are picked for your measured face shape, not a random filter list.
- Each suggestion says why it suits you and what to ask your stylist for.
- The image keeps your face; only the hair changes.
- The free scan stays on your device. A try-on uses only the photo you send, and you can delete it any time.
- Mia can also check glasses, brows and your best colors for the same face.

Hairstyle try-on: questions
Can I try hairstyles on my own photo for free?+
Yes. The face shape scan and the ranked haircuts are free with no account, and your first try-on on your own photo is free when you sign in. After that each try-on costs 10 credits.
What is the best AI hairstyle try-on?+
Look for one that starts from your face, not just a filter: it should say which cuts suit your face shape and why, keep your face unchanged and give you something to show your stylist. That is how this one works, and the first try-on costs nothing.
Which hairstyle suits my face shape?+
It depends on your outline. Round faces usually suit height on top and length below the chin; long faces suit width at the cheeks and a fringe; square jaws suit soft layers around the jaw. The free hairstyle finder measures yours and ranks the cuts for it.
Is the hairstyle try-on app safe?+
The face shape scan runs in your browser and never uploads your photo. A try-on sends only the photo you choose, to make the image; it stays in your chat until you delete it, and it is never published or shared. There is no app to install and no subscription.
Can I try hairstyles on with ChatGPT or Gemini?+
You can ask them to edit a photo, but you have to know which cut to ask for, and general image models often change your face too. Here the cuts are chosen for your measured face shape first, and the try-on keeps your face and changes only the hair.
How realistic is the try-on?+
It edits your photo so the hair looks natural in your own light and angle, and keeps your face. Treat it as a preview: real hair texture and density change how a cut falls, so take the result and the salon brief to your stylist.
Does it work for men?+
Yes. The finder ranks men’s cuts such as the textured crop, low quiff and soft side part as well as women’s cuts, and the try-on works the same way.
Can I change my hair color too?+
Not as a separate try-on yet. Mia can tell you which hair colors suit your color season, and the color try-on shows you in your best clothing colors.
What photo should I use?+
One adult, facing forward, eyes open, hair off the face if you can, in daylight or even indoor light, with no filter. A clear photo gives a better face shape reading and a better try-on.
What happens to my photo?+
The free scan runs in your browser and does not upload the photo. When you try a haircut on, the photo you choose is sent to make the image and is kept in your chat until you delete it.
Do I need to download an app?+
No. Everything works in your phone or computer browser.
